Trending sa social media ang tweet ni Paolo nitong Hunyo 20 na, “Basta ‘yung sakin lang harassers shouldn’t assert be put in positions of power esp when they’ve been reported already thank u, no delete.”
“The members of this group do not condone any form of harassment and refuse to continue supporting alleged perpetrators of it. And though we cannot tell the stories of theses victims, we will always support believe, and side with them.
“We’ve always belieived that this group was more than just a fanclub. We became a family, and this bond created under one umbrella something no one can take away from us, not even our origins.
“Having said that, we understand that not everyone is comfortable with continued association with this group given that origin, and so if you believe it’s within your best interests to exit the group, then we wish you well.
“With that being said, the group has been temporary rembranded to Pechay at Payong.
“We choose to use this platform as a way to celebrate and support all Filipino queer artists in every medium they choose to thrive in, we will help amplify their voices, and through that also amplify ours. This group will remain a safe space for everyone.
“And together, we will continue to help cultivate even more safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community.”
