Catriona kinampihan ng korte vs tabloid na naglabas ng pekeng nude photo

KINATIGAN ng Quezon City Prosecutors Office ang kasong libel at cyber libel na inihain ni 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray laban sa entertainment editor ng isang tabloid at isang writer nito.

Nakitaan ng korte ng malisya ang inilabas na balita at litrato ni Janice Navida ng Bulgar at writer nitong si Melba Llanera tungkol sa umano’y nude photo ni Catriona noong Hulyo 19, 2020.

Bukod sa libel ay pinakakasuhan din ng cyber libel ang editor dahil sa pag-post nito sa Facebook page ng kanilang pahayagan ng larawan ng topless na babae kung saan nabanggit nga ang pangalan ni Catriona.

Mababasa sa nasabing FB post ang titulong, “After ng bantang pasabog ni Clint…Nude Photos ni Catriona Kalat Na.”

Inirekomenda rin ng Quezon City Prosecutors Office ang pagbabayad ng piyansa na tig-P30,000 sa dalawang kinasuhan at dagdag na P48,000 sa editor para sa cyber libel.

Base sa report ni MJ Felipe sa ABS-CBN, “Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office recommends filing of libel charge vs BULGAR entertainment editor Janice Navida, writer Melba Llanera over an article about Catriona Gray’s ‘nude’ photos. Navida also indicted for cyberlibel over a Facebook post on Gray.

“Llanera’s article last July 19 2020, carried the headline ‘After ng bantang pasabog ni Clint… NUDE PHOTOS NI CATRIONA KALAT NA!’ In a post published thru Bulgar’s FB page, one of the 3 photos shows a topless female which Navida allegedly claimed to be the complainant.

“With this, the city prosecutor is recommending that appropriate charges be filed in court with recommended bail of 30,000 pesos for each respondent for Libel; another 48,000 pesos for Navida for Cyber Libel,” ang bahagi pa ng nakasaad sa resolusyong inilabas ng korte.

Ipinost naman ng legal counsel ni Catriona na si Atty. Joji Alonso ang kopya ng resolution na pirmado ni Assistant City Prosecutor Jerome Christopher V. Feria at aprubado naman ni Deputy City Prosecutor Irene S. Resurreccion Medrano.

Habang sinusulat namin ang balitang ito ay wala pang official statement ang mga sangkot sa kaso. Agad naming ilalabas ang kanilang panig hinggil dito sakaling makakuha kami ng opisyal nilang pahayag.
