First Yaya, Legal Wives, Nagbabagang Luha, iba pang show ng GMA mapapanood na sa iQiyi
MAS pinalawak pa ng GMA Network ang kanilang audience reach sa pamamagitan ng bonggang multi-year partnership sa itinuturing na isa sa world’s largest online streaming platforms.
The Kapuso network has teamed up with iQiyi, the international on-demand video streaming service that is home to a diverse line-up of content mostly from Asia.
You Stranger.” iQiyi will stream 12 Kapuso shows this year and looks to add more in the succeeding years.
“We are excited to be a part of this journey with our partners from GMA. From a content standpoint, the keyword that I want to use here is it’s Asian. The main focus of iQiyi is Asia. I personally believe that home is where the heart is,” pahayag ni Sherwin dela Cruz, ang country manager ng iQiyi.
“Today is not about Korean content or Chinese content or Japanese anime or Thai horror that we will have (on our platform). It’s the advent of new Filipino content in iQiyi,” aniya pa sa ginanap na virtual media launch ng nasabing partnership.
“This year is particularly exciting because we’re been hibernating for far too long. Last year, there were lots of shows that were lost and rightfully so because of the safety concerns.
“But this year, slowly but surely, we’re getting back on our feet, we’re able to film. Think of it as the comeback of GMA shows, the comeback of Kapuso stars, the comeback of Filipino content,” sabi pa ni Sherwin.
Ayon naman kay Reena Garingan, adviser for content sales, syndication, partnerships, and distribution for GMA, “This partnership will further make the network’s programs accessible to more viewers anytime, anywhere.
“Fans will now have more chances to catch their favorite Kapuso shows and even rewatch them multiple times as they please. Both GMA and iQiyi are hoping to collaborate on more projects in the future including bringing Kapuso stars to other Asian countries where the streaming platform has a strong presence,” aniya pa.
Sabi naman ni GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, “We are honored and grateful for iQiyi’s trust in partnering with GMA Network as the Kapuso programs jumpstart the exciting line-up of Filipino content for this platform.
“As we continue to adapt to the shifting interests of our viewers and their viewing habits, we relentlessly produce world-class entertainment programs that can be consumed in various platforms and iQiyi International’s massive user base will likewise complement our digital efforts,” dagdag pa ni Gozon.
For only Php99 per month, subscribers can enjoy premium content and catch up on their favorite Kapuso shows anytime and anywhere via iQ.com or the iQiyi International app.
