Pumanaw na ang chairperson ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na si Danilo Lim, ayon sa Malacañang.
“The Palace expresses its deep condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Danilo Lim,” ayon sa pahayag ni presidential spokesperson Harry Roque ngayong Miyerkules.
Namaalam na si Lim,65, ngayong Miyerkules sa ganap na 8:00 ng umaga, wika ni Roque.
Hindi binanggit ang dahilan ng pagkamatay ni Lim.
“MMDA Chair Lim served the Duterte Administration with professionalism, competence and integrity. He would be dearly missed. May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may his soul, through the mercy of the Almighty, rest in eternal peace,” dagdag ni Roque.
Ang Edsa traffic chief ng MMDA na si Edison “Bong” Nebrija ay namaalam din sa pinuno ng kanilang ahensiya.
“Farewell my brother tonight, farewell,” wika ni Nebrija sa kanyang Facebook post.
Noong Disyembre 29, kinumpirma ni Lim na dinapuan siya ng sakit na coronavirus.
