Arjo: Ayokong maging kontrabida o matinee idol, gusto kong maging…
“Because having a mom who’s an actress doesn’t necessarily mean they would get you. You still have to work for it. I think that’s a misconception of mga anak ng artista.
“Even my sister Ria we all worked for it. It’s just a big factor that our mom is in the industry. We already have the exact and factual guidance to be given to us, which is to our advantage. Fame is not my game,” pahayag ng boyfriend ni Maine Mendoza.
“Having goals like stepping out of my mom’s shadow it’s not like that. I’m not trying to prove anything in the first place. I just really wanted to act and have fun.
“I feel like I’m playing and working at the same time. I learn. That’s the most important thing for every day I think,” patuloy pang pahayag ni Arjo.
Unang nakatikim ng buhay-artista ang binata noong 2002 nang umapir siya sa “Ang TV”, “I really wanted ever since before so ang dami kong sinalihan na VTR, commercial, all that stuff, audition of shows. Never naman ako tinanggap, eh.
“And then nu’ng time na ayoko ng mag-artista, sabi ng mom ko may workshop so i-try ko lang. I tried the workshop and by God’s name, by the time I didn’t want it anymore, du’n naman napunta sa akin. So I grabbed the opportunity,” kuwento pa ng award-winning na ring anak ni Ibyang.
“I didn’t want to be a kontrabida. I don’t want to be a matinee idol or anything. I’ve always wanted to be a comedian.
“The reason why I wanted to be an actor was because I wanted to work with Babalu and Redford White. That was my goal before but di nabigyan ng chance kasi I started na rin late,” pahayag ni Arjo.
