Rabiya Mateo sa titulong Miss Universe PH 2020: I know that I did everything
MARIING itinanggi ni Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo na alam na niya ang mga itatanong sa Q&A portion ng pageant.
Nilinaw ng dalaga na wala siyang alam sa sinasabing “lutuan” na nangyari sa finals night ng Miss Universe Philippines na napanood sa GMA 7 kahapon ng umaga.
Kontrobersyal ngayon si Rabiya na representative nga ng Iloilo City, dahil sa mga reklamo umano ng ilang kandidata na hindi pabor sa naging resulta ng laban.
Ginanap ang grand coronation ng beauty pageant sa Cordillera Convention Hall ng Baguio Country Club sa Baguio City last Friday at ipinalabas naman ang pre-recorded finals night sa GMA 7 kahapon.
Sa panayam ng TV5, nagsalita si Rabiya tungkol sa mga kontrobersyang kumakalat ngayon matapos siyang hiranging 2020 Miss Universe Philippines.
“To be honest po, maybe I wasn’t a frontrunner so people didn’t expect me to win and now that I have the crown.
“I’m sorry I’m being emotional. They’re questioning my capability as a person, as a candidate, but I know that I did everything and anything that I could during that night and ibinigay ko talaga.
“And yung mga nagsasabi na the question was given to me that’s why I answered that way, it wasn’t given po sa akin. I did everything that I could because I want to make Iloilo City proud,” ang pahayag ng dalaga sa nasabing interview.
Patuloy pa niya, “Of course it was painful because there are things na you can settle by talking with each other.
“At the end of the day, this is a competition and being the bigger person in the picture, I need to understand where they are coming from,” dagdag pa ng beauty queen.
Samantala, nagpasalamat naman ang physical therapy lecturer at cum laude graduate (Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy sa Iloilo Doctor’s College) sa lahat ng mga sumuporta sa kanya.
Paghahandaan at gagawin daw niya ang lahat para patunayan sa sambayanang Filipino na deserving siyang i-represent ang Pilipinas sa 2020 Miss Universe pageant.
Samantala, muling nag-post si Miss Taguig Sandra Lemonon sa kanyang Instagram account na pinaniniwalaang sagot nito sa pahayag ni Rabiya.
“Defensive Behavior Is a barrier for communication.
“Only people without a clear conscience should be afraid of truth.
“Sweet dreams,” mensahe ni Sandra.
