Tulong sa mga naulila ng 2 OFWs sa Abu Dhabi gas explosion, tiniyak ni Bello

Paunang P120,000 ang matatanggap ng mga naulila ng dalawang overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) na nasawi sa gas explosion sa isang sangay ng KFC restaurant sa Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Ito ang sinabi ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III at aniya, makakakuha rin ng insurance benefits ang pamilya nina Clark Gasis at Merriner Bertoces kung sila ay miyembro ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Ibinahagi din ni Bello ang ulat mula sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) sa Abu Dhabi na walong Filipino pa, kasama ang dalawang sanggol, ang nasugatan sa insidente.

Lima sa kanila ang pinauwi na matapos magamot sa ospital, samantalang isa ang nananatiling “under observation.”

Nabatid na ang 39-anyos na si Gasis ay isang electrical draftsman at tubong Surigao del Sur, samantalang si Bertoces, 26-anyos, ay mula sa Negros Oriental at nagtatrabaho sa sumabog na KFC sa Airport Road.

Sa tangke ng gas sa loob ng restaurant sinasabing nagmula ang pagsabog.
