Mrs. Queen of Hearts PH pageant tuloy na tuloy kahit may pandemya

Kung ilang mga beauty pageant na ang nakabinbin o kinansela bunsod ng pandaigdigang pandemyang kaugnay ng COVID-19, tuloy na tuloy naman ang 2020 Mrs. Queen of Hearts Philippines pageant.

Sinabi ni MMG Queen of Hearts Foundation President Mitzie Go-Gil sa Bandera sa isang panayam online na tiniyak sa kanya ng mga international pageant organizer na tuloy ang pagdaraos ng mga nakatakdang patimpalak ngayong taon.

“We deemed it necessary to have a new set of queens so we can send them to international pageants once the situation warrants,” aniya.

Dinagdag pa ni Go-Gil: “We can’t put the pageant on hold, so we had to do it without violating any government regulations. And doing virtual events is the best solution.”

Makaraan ang ilang virtual competitions, umarangkada ang kalahok mula sa lalawigan ng Isabela na si Joybelle Corpuz Portabes na kabilang sa mga nanguna sa mga kategoryang People’s Choice, Social Media, Best Advocacy, Best in National Costume, Best in Talent, at Introduction Video.

Dikit naman sa kanya si Louise Suzanne Alba-Lopez Quezon City na kabilang sa pinakamahuhusay sa mga kategoryang People’s Choice, Social Media, Best Advocacy, Best in National Costume, at Introduction Video, at si Sarima Paglas ng Maguindanao na kabilang sa mga umangat sa mga kategoryang People’s Choice, Social Media, Best Advocacy, Best in Talent, at Introduction Video.

Pipiliin sa beauty pageant para sa mga ginang at ina ang mga kinatawan ng Pilipinas na susubok na masungkit ang mga titulong Mrs. Worldwide, Mrs. Asia Pacific Global, Mrs. Asia Pacific All Nations, Mrs. Asia Pacific Tourism, Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental, at Mrs. Asia Pacific Cosmopolitan titles ngayong taon, at ang koronang n Mrs. Global Universe sa 2021.

Ayon kay Go-Gil, nagpasya ang foundation na magdaos ng aktwal na coronation night, “but it will depend on the improvement of the present [COVID-19] situation.”

Sinisilip nila ang pagtatapos ng Setyembre o mga unang linggo ng Oktubre para sa finals.

Nasungkit ni Go-Gil ang titulong Mrs. Asia Pacific Tourism sa Singapore noong 2018, habang inuwi naman ni Avon Morales ang korona bilang Mrs. Asia Pacific Global noong nagdaang taon.
