Pagkuha ng PWD IDs sa QC mas mahigpit na

UPANG matiyak na mga tamang tao lamang ang mabibigyan ng Persons With Disability Identification card, makikipag-ugnayan na ang Quezon City government sa mga ospital.

Ipinalabas ni Mayor Joy Belmonte ang Memorandum Circular No. 16 matapos na mabulgar ang pagbibigay ng mga PWD ID sa mga hindi kuwalipikado kasama na ang anim na miyembro ng isang may kayang pamilya noong 2018.

“These guidelines aim to help prevent fraud in the issuance and use of PWD IDs while ensuring that legitimate PWDs can continue to obtain their IDs in an expeditious manner,” ani Belmonte.

Sa ilalim ng Memorandum, makikipag-ugnayan ang Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) sa mga ospital sa Quezon City para matukoy kung totoo ang isang hindi pisikal na disability ng naga-apply.

“The PDAO will schedule the applicant at one of our hospitals and have them undergo a personal assessment by the appropriate specialist medical doctor,” ani Belmonte.

Ang mga tao na mayroong pisikal na disability ay kailangan lamang magsumite ng medical certificate o abstract at litrato ng disability.

“An indigent with a disability, but no medical certificate or abstract, may undergo free examination in one of our hospitals, provided they submit a certificate of indigency from the barangay,” dagdag pa ng alkalde.

Kailangan ding magsumite ng nag-aaplay ng patunay na ito ay nakatira sa QC.
