Honda Bay sa Palawan positibo sa red tide toxin
NAGPOSITIBO na sa red tide toxin ang Honda Bay sa Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Ayon sa inilabas na advisory ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) nakita sa mga kinolektang shellfish sa Honda Bay ang mataas na lebel ng paralytic shellfish poison na lagpas sa regulatory limit.
Nananatiling positibo naman sa paralytic shellfish poison ang coastal waters ng Dauis at Tagbilaran City sa Bohol; Balite Bay, Mati City sa Davao Oriental; at Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur.
“All types of shellfish and Acetes sp. or alamang gathered from these areas are not safe for human consumption,” saad ng advisory ng BFAR na pirmado ni Nestor Domenden, officer-in-charge, Assistance Director for Operations.
