Pinas nakakuha ng A- credit rating

Iniugnay ni House committee on Ways and Means chairman at Albay Rep.

“This is an unprecedented achievement and it is validation of the hard work we have been doing over recent years,” ani Salceda.

“As the first draft of all tax bills passes through my committee, it has been my responsibility to keep the country’s fiscal policy in order. This affirmation of our work could not have come at a better time, when the country needs all the friends it can have in the international community.”

“That’s why I am relieved that we are facing the current crisis from a position of great strength,” saad ni Salceda.  “The rating suggests that we can borrow at very favorable rates, and that we can beef up our infrastructure spending more sustainably. I take this as a sign both to continue the pace of reforms that we have undertaken, and to push for reforms that will speed up infrastructure completion to bolster GDP growth.”

“I will continue to work with the economic managers so that we get the necessary policies to make implementing our growth and recovery strategies easier,” dagdag pa ni Salceda.
