Unang araw ng GCQ ‘generally peaceful’

ITINUTURING ng National Police na “generally peaceful and orderly” ang unang araw ng pagpapatupad ng general community quarantine sa Metro Manila at modified general community quarantine sa ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Ayon kay PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa, ito ang kabuuang sitwasyon na lumalabas sa mga natanggap na ulat ng PNP Command Center mula sa iba-ibang police regional office.

“Except for reports of stranded commuters due to inadequate public transportation, no other significant reports of major untoward incidents were recorded since the opening hours of June 1st.”

Ayon kay Gamboa, mananatili sa “high state of readiness” ang PNP para makapagbigay seguridad at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga manggagawang babalik sa trabaho sa mga susunod na araw.

“Whether it is ECQ, MECQ, or GCQ, the PNP continues to aggressively perform law enforcement functions in support of the national campaign against, crime, illegal drugs, corruption, and terrorism. There is no let up in our campaign.”

Pinaalalahanan ni Gamboa ang publiko na magpapatupad pa rin ng checkpoint, curfew, travel restriction, physical distancing, at minimum health standards sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng GCQ at MGCQ.
