7K OFWs pinayagan ng umuwi

PINAYAGAN nang umuwi sa kani-kanilang probinsya ang may 7,806 overseas Filipino workers na nabigyan na ng clearance matapos magnegatibo sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Magtutulungan ang Department of Transportation, Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration at iba pang ahensya para mabigyan ng libreng sakay ang mga uuwing OFWs.

Ang mga OFW ay dadalhin sa Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Sa PITX dadalhin ang mga uuwi sa Bicol, Isabela, Baguio, Quezon, Cavite, Bataan, Batangas, Laguna, Tuguegarao, Cagayan, at Nueva Ecija.

Sa NAIA naman maghihintay ng flight ang mga OFW na pupunta ng Davao, Zamboanga, General Santos City, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban, o Cebu.

Mahigit sa 17,500 ang mga OFW na inaasahang makakauwi na sa loob ng tatlong araw.

Nauna rito ay maraming OFW ang nagrereklamo dahil mahigit dalawang linggo na silang nasa quarantine facility pero hindi pa rin lumalabas ang resulta ng kanilang COVID-19 test.
