Duterte hindi nakialam sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN– Cayetano

HINDI umano pinakialaman ni Pangulong Duterte ang Kamara de Representantes sa pagtalakay sa renewal ng prangkisa ng ABS-CBN 2.
Ayon kay House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano ang tanging sinabi ni Duterte sa kanya kaugnay ng prangkisa ng Channel 2 ay maging patas at ito ang kanyang sinunod.
“…..I can tell you and look you in the eyes na ang ano sa akin ni Presidente is just be fair. Bahala kayo dyan,” ani Cayetano sa ambush interview.
“The President has never told me to grant or not grant the ano, and kung titingnan mo ang attitude ng Presidente, sa confirmation, sa mga secretary, kung anong teritoryo ng Kongreso, sa Kongreso yan. Anong teritoryo nung Executive, sa Executive.”
Pero hindi umano palalagpasin ng Kamara ang ginawang pagtalikod ng mga opisyal ng National Telecommunication Commission sa sinabi nito na bibigyan ng provisional authority ang ABS-CBN upang makapag-operate ito kahit expired na ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN at ang pakiki-alam ni Solicitor General Jose Calida.
“But definitely, the SolGen and NTC, we want them to explain and to present their side. Hindi nila puwedeng sabihin sub judice. I-explain nyo para yung tao makapag-decide on their own kung tama o mali. Kami, hindi pa namin hinuhusgahan yung SolGen kung tama yung allegations niya o mali,” dagdag pa ni Cayetano.
Sa Martes ay magsasagawa ng pagdinig ang House committee on legislative franchises kaugnay ng renewal ng prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
