‘Wow China’ program sa PH-owned radio station inalmahan

MARAMING hindi natuwa nang malaman na may programa pala ang China sa state-owned radio broadcasting station dito sa Pilipinas.

Ayon kay Senator Risa Hontiveros, siya ay ‘disturbed’ na may radio program, entitled ‘Wow China’ na umere sa Radyo Pilipinas 738, isang AM radio station sa ilalim ng Philippine Broadcasting Service.

Tanong niya, Pinoy ba ang nagbabayad para rito?

“Filipino taxpayers should be indignant that we are essentially paying for a radio show that promotes China’s policies.”

“We have let Chinese propaganda reach our shores. Inaangkin na nga nila ang West Philippine Sea, pati ba naman ang radyo natin sa kanila na rin?” sabi ng senadora.

Her sentiments are echoed by a Pinoy netizens on social media.

“That’s part of the free marketplace of ideas, hayaan na po nating bumuo ng sariling opinyon ang ating mga kababayan diyan sa inereng advertisement na ‘yan o programa.” ani Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque tungkol sa mga pambabash ng netizens sa programang ito.

Dinerekta naman niya kay Communications Secretary at head ng Presidential Communications Operations Office Martin Andanar ang mga tanong tungkol dito.

Pero ng tanungin para sa kanyang comment, Andanar directed Inquirer.net to PBS Director Rizal Giovanni “Bong” Aportadera, Jr. na magbibigay daw ng statement ukol dito ngayong araw.

In a past issue, naging trending din ang pag-dislike ng maraming Pinoy sa ginawag music video ng Chinese Embassy entitled ‘Iisang Dagat’.

Sa ngayon meron na itong mahigit sa 213,000 dislikes kumpara sa 3,800 na likes nito sa Youtbe.
