Radio reporter patay sa ambush

NASAWI ang isang radio reporter nang pagbabarilin ng mga armadong naka-motorsiklo sa Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Martes ng gabi.

Ikinasawi ni Cornelio Pepino, 48, ang mga tama ng bala sa iba-ibang bahagi ng katawan, ayon sa ulat ng Negros Oriental provincial police.

Si Pepino, kilala rin sa tawag na “Rex Cornelio,” ay reporter at announcer sa DYMD Energy FM.

Naganap ang insidente sa Villa Amada, North Road, Brgy.Daro, dakong alas-8:30.

Nagmomotorsiklo si Pepino at kayang misis na si Colen, nang pagbabarilin siya ng dalawang lalaking magkaangkas sa isa pang motor, ayon sa pulisya.

Dinala pa ng mga rumespondeng pulis si Pepino sa Silliman University Medical Center pero di na siya umabot nang buhay.

Inaalam pa ang pagkakakilanlan, kinaroroonan, at motibo ng mga salarin, habang isinusulat ang istoryang ito.
