“As we welcome today the country’s newest batch of lawyers whose names are revealed in the roster of passers of last year’s bar examinations, we call on all of our country’s lawyers to defend the defenseless, including the fish vendor mauled earlier this week in Quezon City,” ani Tulfo.

“The barangay tanods did not use reasonable proportionate force to the alleged offenses of the ambulant fish vendor. “

“I appeal to the Public Attorney’s Office to immediately come to the aid of the victim,” dagdag pa nito. “I also question the denial of access to the victim while detained by the local authorities. The honorable act for the barangay chairman to do is to immediately suspend all the barangay tanods involved in the mauling of the fish vendor.”
