Temporary health facility sa Pier bukas na

ISANG simpleng commission ceremony ang isinagawa kahapon para sa pagbubukas ng Pier 15 Covid-19 Treatment Facility.

Ayon kay Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade strategic ang temporary health facility ng Eva Macapagal Super Terminal sa Pier 15 dahil malapit ito sa mga ospital.

“We thought that this is strategically located. In 1km to 2km, nandiyan ang mga ospital, para kung may pangangailangan na seryoso, na sana ‘wag naman po, ay maaaring itakbo agad,” ani Transportation Secretary Tugade.

Kasama ni Tugade sa pagiikot sa pasilidad si Defense Sec. Lorenzana. “Marami na akong napuntahan na quarantine facilities pero so far, ito ‘yung the best na nakita ko. Comfortable ito sa mga pasyente. We are very much satisfied upon seeing this.”

Ang temporary health facility ay kayang tumanggap ng 211 pasyente.

“Ito pong facility namin dito, may total na 211 beds capacity. This is in addtion to the capacity already taken up sa dalawang barko, dalawang quarantine vessels,” ani Philippine Ports Authority General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago.

May mga bintana ang pasilidad na maaaring buksan upang makapasok ang hangin ng dagat.

“Twice a day, for about 30 minutes, bubuksan ang pintuan sa quarantine facility para makalanghap ng sariwang hangin ang mga pasyente mula sa dagat,” ani Tugade.

Ang ginastos sa pagtatayo ng pasilidad ay galing sa P100 milyong donasyon ng Lopez Group of Companies.
