Dugo ni Angara ibigay sa pasyenteng may severe COVID-19 case sa QC

NAG-DONATE na kahapon ng dugo ang COVID-19 survivor na si Sen. Sonny Angara para matulungan ang iba pang lumalaban sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Sa isang post sa kanyang social media account, sinabi ni Angara na nalaman niya na ang plasma na kinuha sa kanyang dugo ay napunta sa isang pasyente sa Quezon City na mayroong severe case ng COVID-19.

“My wonderful doctors say it could save his life as the antibodies of survivors in past viruses have done,” ani Angara.

Sinabi ni Angara na ngayon ay mayroong informal network ng mga ospital na nag-uusap-usap kaugnay ng paggamit ng plasma ng mga pasyenteng gumaling sa COVID-19.

“I wish I could pay it back every day but the protocol is you can only give your plasma as a survivor every 14 days,” saad ng solon.

Nanawagan din si Angara sa mga gaya niyang COVID-19 survivors na mag donate ng dugo upang matulungan ang mga lumalaban sa naturang sakit.

Umapela rin ang solon sa Department of Health at Inter Agency Task Force at local government units na magpalitan ng datos, nang hindi lumalabag sa Data Privacy Act, upang matulungan ang mga nangangailangan ng plasma ng mga gumaling na.
