Solon nalungkot sa pahayag ng DOH sa misting hindi nakakatulong vs COVID-19

NAGULUHAN si House Deputy Speaker at Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez sa pahayag ng Department of Health na hindi nakatutulong ang misting sa o disinfectant spray sa pagpatay sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Ayon kay Fernandez napakarami ng lugar ang nagsasagawa ng misting sa mga sasakyan na dumaraan sa mga checkpoint upang mapatay ang COVID-19 na maaaring nasa sasakyan.

“People are beginning to learn how to be protective and is learning to defend themselves against this deadly virus, even taking into considerations that spraying or misting of disinfectants might be of help in this fight against this pandemic,” ani Fernandez sa kanyang Facebook account.

Ayon sa Department of Health walang ebidensya na napapatay sa misting ang virus at maaari umano itong magdulot ng pangangati ng balat at posible ring masingkot ang kemikal na makapagdudulot ng respiratory problem bukod pa sa polusyon na dulot ito.

“Now here’s the Department of Health or DOH announcing that it is dangerous and hazardous to spray or mist disinfectants because of the possible skin irritation it may cause. To DOH, magisip nga muna kayo kung meron kayo action na ginagawa,” ani Fernandez. “Ang pakiusap ko sa DOH, bawiin ninyo ang statement ninyo. Ating gawin lahat ng paraan para malabanan ang sakit na ito. Magtulungan. Hindi magdudahan o maghatakan pababa.”

Punto pa ni Fernandez: “Ano ba ang mas importante, ang kati ng balat o ang mamatay dahil sa COVID-19?”

“May I remind the DOH Central Office that we are at war here. A war wherein we cannot see our enemy. Wherein wala tayong alam na gamot.”

Sinabi rin ni Fernandez na maraming mauunlad na bansa gaya ng China ang nagsasagawa ng misting.

“At bukod dun, may protocol ang US Center for Disease Control to disinfect facility pag may nag positive. Tapos sa atin bawal whether indoor or outdoor? Bakit ganon?”

“Kahit may slight chance na makapigil ng pag spread ang kahit anong action ng tao, hindi dapat pigilan lalo na kung ang side effect ay mild skin irritation lang. Hindi naman ito masisinghot ng tao dahil naka mask sila,” saad pa ng solon.
