DAPAT umanong isailalim sa mandatory coronavirus disease 2019 testing ang mga overseas Filipino workers na uuwi sa bansa upang matiyak na hindi nahawa ang mga ito.
Ayon kay Kabayan Rep. Ron Salo ito ang dapat na gawin ng Department of Health at Manila International Airport Authority upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.
“In order to bolster the government’s efforts in stemming the transmission of Covid 19 and to ensure that the gains we achieved with the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) are not gone to waste, I call on the DOH, in coordination with the MIAA, to conduct mandatory testing of all arriving OFWs,” ani Salo.
Dahil sa pahinto ng ekonomiya ng mundo, maraming OFW ang nawalan ng trabaho at pinauuwi na mula sa bansa kung saan sila nagtatrabaho.
Nagsara ang maraming negosyo sa ibang bansa dahil sa ipinatutupad na lockdown upang makontrol ang pagkalat ng sakit na hanggang ngayon ay wala pang kumpirmadong lunas.
