Laban-bawi statement ng DoH, RITM hindi nakakatuwa
NANAWAGAN si Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo sa Department of Health na mag-ingat sa paglalabas ng impormasyon sa publiko dahil hindi umano maganda na nababahiran ang integridad nito.
“The DOH and its Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) should check and re-check their test results and other information before releasing these to the public,” ani Castelo.
Nauna rito ay sinabi ng DoH na mababa ang accuracy ng COVID-19 testing kits mula sa China kaya hindi ito ginagamit. Matapos lumabas ang mga ulat ay nilinaw ng DoH na hindi lahat ng testing kits mula sa China ay mababa ang accuracy.
Binawi naman ng RITM ang resulta ng positive result sa COVID-19 test na isinagawa kay ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Go Yap. Ayon sa RITM si Yap ay negatibo at nagkaroon ng clerical error sa encoding ng resulta.
“They are the experts. If they are not credible, who do we believe?” saad ng lady solon.
Nais din ni Castelo na magbigay ng detalyadong impormasyon ang DoH kaugnay ng naunang isinapubliko nito na may mga testing kit mula sa China na 40 percent lamang ang accuracy.
“So who donated or supplied the Chinese test kits Usec (Maria Rosario) Vergeire stated were not reliable? Up to now, the DOH has not told us. If they were donated by private parties, they should say so. They should tell the donors, who made the donations in good faith,” saad ni Castelo.
