4 gusali sa MM inirekomendang gawing temporary health facilities vs COVID-19

INIREKOMENDA ng Department of Public Works and Highways ang paggamit ng apat na gusali sa Metro Manila bilang mga health facilities at isolation sites upang matugunan ang kakulangan ng espasyo sa mga ospital dahil sa pagkalat ng coronavirus disease 2019.

Ayon kay DPWH Sec. Mark Villar maaaring gamitin ang Philippine International Convention Center, World Trade Center, Rizal Memorial Coliseum, at Philippine Institute of Sports Multipurpose (Philsport) Arena na kayang mag-accommodate ng 2,905 pasyente.

Sinabi ni Villar na dapat lang ay maging mahigpit ang pagsunod sa protocol ng conversion ng public spaces bilang temporary treatment and monitoring facilities.

“As per guidelines provided by DOH, confirmed COVID-19 patients may be placed in shared space or rooms. PUIs shall be separated in a different space or tent or room provided with individual enclosed spaces and separate entrance,” ani Villar. “Identified spaces must be accessible to a Level 2 or 3 hospital accepting PUI or confirmed COVID-19 patients. Distance between patient beds should be maintained at least 3 feet apart on all sides.”

Ang pasilidad ay maaari umanong hatiin sa contaminated, buffer at sterile zones.

Samantala, sinabi ni Villar na 19 sa 125 evacuation centers na itinayo ng DPWH ay ginagamit na bilang mga health facilities samantalang 10 ang nagsisilbing Emergency Operation Centers.

Nakapagtayo na rin ang DPWH ng 318 sanitation tents sa iba’t ibang lugar.
