Lionair 2 beses nagkaroon ng aksidente sa loob ng 7 buwan

DALAWANG aksidente na ang kinasasangkutan ng helicopter and executive jet charter service company na Lionair Inc., sa loob ng pitong buwan.

Ayon kay Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Deputy Director-General for Operations Captain Don Mendoza hinuhukay ng mga imbestigador ang rekord ng Lionair dahil nakakabahala umano ang madalas na aksidente ng mga eroplano nito.

Sa isang press conference sinabi ni Mendoza na tinitignan ng ahensya ang pagbabawal sa pagbiyahe ng lahat ng sasakyang panghimpapawid ng Lionair.

“It’s quite alarming, but we are looking into the records deeply,” ani Mendoza sa press conference na ipinatawag matapos masunog ang isang eroplano sa runway ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport kagabi na ikinasawi ng walo katao.

Nagkaroon ng problema ang Westwind 24 aircraft habang pa-take off sa runway 24 ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport alas-7:58 ng gabi noong Linggo.

Papunta ang eroplano sa Haneda, Japan para magdala ng pasaherong may sakit.

Noong Sabado ang naturang eroplano ay naghatid ng mga medical supplies sa Iloilo. Nakabalik ito sa Maynila ng walang problema.

Noong Setyembre 2019 ay bumagsak ang isang eruplano ng Lionair sa isang village resort sa Calamba City. Patay ang siyam na sakay nito.

“Definitely, we will have a thorough investigation into this, and then we will advise the operator of the actions or steps to be taken.”
