CBCP: Gadget tantanan sa Semana Santa

UMAPELA ang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines sa mga Katoliko na itigil ang paggamit ng cellphone at iba pang gadget sa Semana Santa.

Ayon kay CBCP Episcopal Commission on Social Communication chairman at Boac Bishop Marcelino Maralit Jr., mas mahalaga na magnilay at magdasal sa mga banal na araw.

“If we have cellphones or anything that distracted by other things we will never get that silence necessary for us to be able to listen to God,” ani Maralit sa interbyu sa Radyo. “I would like to invite everybody, especially during this Lenten season, to find the ability to put aside your phones for at least two hours a day.”

Aniya, makatutulong sa pagbabago ng sarili kung gugugulin sa pagdarasal at pagbabasa ng Bibliya ang oras na ginagamit sa social media.

Matatandaang sinabi ni Pope Francis sa kanyang misa sa St. Peter’s Square noong Ash Wednesday na imbes manood ng TV at maging abala sa cellphone ay bakit hindi tumutok sa Bible sa darating na Holy Week.
