CAPAS, TARLAC – Dalawang beses na binasag ni Filipino-American sprinter Kristina Marie Knott ang Southeast Asian Games record sa 200m sprint athletics event Sabado sa Athletics Stadium ng New Clark City dito.

Itinala ng 24-year old trackster mula University of Miami ang tiyempong 23.01 segundo para dominahin ang short distance race at kubrahin ang gintong medalya.

Tinalo niya sina Chinh Le Tu ng Vietnam (23.45)  at Veronica Pereira Shanti (23.77) ng Singapore.

Naunang binasag ni Knott ang 33-year old record ni Asian sprint queen Lydia de Vega sa heats.
