“I lived in Canada for quite sometime. The culture there is very similar to the native Indians in Canada. The people there are nomadic. They live in igloos. They’re like people of the north. They hunt. They fish. They live very simple lives. The city is very small but it’s beautiful. Kaya madali akong nakapag-adjust.
“Noong nag-shoot kami, the temperature was like super lamig kasi like Greenland, the temperature went as low as -11 degrees celsius, but because of the wind factor, it felt chillier, like -20 degrees,” lahad ng aktres.
Gagampanan ni Alice ang character ni Elaiza Svendsen sa pelikula, isang Pinay immigrant sa Nuuk na nakapangasawa ng Danish, “She is a lonely immigrant na namatay ang asawa who suffers depression, then may issues pa siya with her son. So, mapi-feel mo na parang lost siya in a foreign land.”
I also have my ups and downs. Siguro iyon ang naging motivation ko o pinaghuhugutan ko on how to portray my role.
“I experienced depression when I first moved to Canada, whose climate is similar to that of Greenland. Especially when there’s lack of sun, at hinahanap-hanap mo siya, so it leads to mild depression and some people call it as winter depression.”
I worked with Aga a long time ago. That time was our Regal days in the ’90s. He is always an actor to reckon with. I remember his performances in the movies of the late Maryo J. delos Reyes, napakahusay niya.
