Francis Magundayao nanindigan para sa mga magsasaka

FRANCIS MAGUNDAYAO

WHEN young actor Francis Magundayao attended the ABS-CBN Ball, he had the entire attendees admiring him.

Why not? Francis wore a Barong Tagalog replete with palay as designed by Laguna-based fashion designer Paolo Baltazar. That was his vision that was interpreted by Paolo.

Fully aware of the many problems that beset our farmers, Francis deemed it was the most opportune time to make a subtle cry for justice for the farmers who are suffering from the low palay price.

“Mr @paolobaltazar26 helped me pay tribute to the hard work of our local farmers by designing a minimalist piece inspired by the details found in grains of rice.

“He embellished it with real Palay for a truly eye-popping, 3D effect.

“Finally, He added the colors of our nation’s flag on the right arm to give thanks for the hard work and

sacrifices of our farmers and show our pride in The Philippines!”
That was Francis’ message on his Facebook account.

In a world where politicians took serious concern over Gretchen Diez’s complaint about not being able to pee in a women toilet as opposed to little attention given to farmers beset with problems, Francis proved that even in his sartorial taste the plight of the farmers can still be highlighted.

Mabuhay ka, Francis!
