ALL rank-and-file employees directly hired including those hired through manpower agency by employers collecting service charges are entitled to an equal share of the new 100% service charge law.
The shares of the employees in the service charge must be distributed once every two weeks.
Before, 85 percent of the service charge collected were equally divided among employees and the remaining 15 percent may be retained by management to pay for losses and for distribution to managerial employees. But now, 100 percent of the service charges must go to the employees alone.
Walang say ang mga employers, manpower agencies and managerial employees kung ano ang diskarte sa service charge. Malinaw na ibibigay ang service charge directly to the rank and file employees in the form of cash once every two weeks.
Ngayon kung na-basag ang pinggan o baso, nanenok ang mga tinidor o kutsara, nahulog ang pagkain o beverage, o kaya bumagsak at nasira ang appliance na hindi sinasadya at accident ang nangyari, walang pananagutan ang empleyado. Hindi na pwedeng gamitin ang service charge fee para pambayad sa mga ito.
Pero kung sina-sadya na mangyari ang mga ito, ibang usapan na yan.
Malaking morale booster sa mga rank and file ang pagbabago sa service charge law. Bukod sa additional income at dagdag na take home pay, mas tataas ang quality ng serbisyo ang kapalit nito para sa mga employers at mga customers.
Kung happy ang customers, dadami ang bibili ng produkto at tataas ang sales. Kaya sana maging matapat ang mga employers sa pagbibigay ng service charge sa kanilang directly hired o manpower agency hired rank-and file employees.
