“In this ongoing tug-of-war between actual rights and perceived ones, let us not forget the most fundamental of all, the long-established Rights of Women,” ani Villanueva sa isyu na kinasasangkutan ng transwoman na si Gretchen Diez.

Adding emotions to the controversial occurrence is not helpful in providing context not only to the pending SOGIE bill, but also to the concerns of both the LGBT and Non-LGBT rights proponents in the country,” saad ng solon.

“Freedom from discrimination is a worthy pursuit. But in pursuing such, no sector must consequently be discriminated against,” saad pa ni Villanueva.
