‘Kung gustong mapag-isa ni Joshua hayaan n’yo siya’
FOR once, we’d agree with Julia Barretto na huwag siya ang sisihin kung nakita man nina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla si Joshua Garcia nang mag-isa at a resto, but was later joined by the two, in the US recently. Sa gustong mapag-isa ni Joshua, so be it.
Kung trip man ‘yon o soul searching, that must have served as an emotional drill for the actor who needed space and time to mull things over.
Para sa amin, Joshua should not be perceived as the underdog here. It was his choice to be alone, and Julia gave him just that.
In a sense, gusto naming isipin na ang ‘di kagandahang nakalipas ni Joshua is what he uses to guard himself against what the present has for him. To be detached momentarily allows him to reach the very bottom of his thoughts para mapili rin ang tamang emosyon para roon.
May isang linya from a Chinese movie which has mentally stuck like a super-adhesive glue: It’s the events that change men, not men that change events.
And we could only silently agree with the actor who mouthed that line.
And relating it to Joshua, much of who he has become and he is, kundi man his totality is but the result of the events surrounding his life.
Whether good or really, really bad.
