Lalaking naaresto ng NBI hindi ang video uploader ni ‘Bikoy’- DOJ chief

SINABI ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra na hindi ang uploader ng mga video ni ‘Bikoy’, na nag-aakusa sa pamilya ni Pangulong Duterte na sangkot sa droga, ang naaresto ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Idinagdag ni Guevarra na nasa kustodiya na ng NBI ang isang Rodel Jayme matapos magsagawa ng forensic examination sa kanyang desktop computer, mobile phones, at ISP billing statement kung saan nadiskubre na siya ang “registrant and the administrator” ng website na metrobalita.net na siyang naglabas ng link ng mga video, na naging dahilan para ito kumalat sa social media.

“It appears that he was the one who started all of this by creating the website behind the subsequent uploading of the Bikoy videos. It’s just logical that the NBI starts with him,” sabi ni Guevarra.

Sinabi ni NBI Cybercrime Division chief Victor Lorenzo na hindi lamang ang website ni Jayme ang sinuri kundi maraming account para makakuha ng impormasyon.

“As of now, we’re still conducting a further evaluation on that matter. We’re not solely looking at metrobalita.net. Our investigation catered to several accounts also,” dagdag ni Lorenzo.

Sinabi ni Guevarra na bukod sa paglabag sa Cybercrime Prevention Act, nahaharap din si Jayme sa paglabag sa Anti-Child Abuse law.

Ayon kay Gueverra, boluntaryong pumunta si Jayme sa NBI headquarters para magpaliwanag at isinurender ang kanyang mga device at billing statement sa miyembro ng NBI Cybercrime Division matapos namang magsagawa ng search warrant sa kanyang bahay ganap na alas-4 ng umaga noong Abril 30.
