“I have recommended that the state of calamity at least in Pampanga,” ani Arroyo na nagsalita sa Boao Forum for Asia Manila Conference sa Taguig City matapos dumalaw sa Pampanga. “We are right now in the relief and rescue stage so mga ganung blame tossing siguro saka na.”

“The priority is to complete the rescue that is happening and then we have to take care those who have been rescued, we have to attend to their medical needs. Those who died we have to attend to their funeral requirements. Those whose houses were destroyed they have to be fed so we are in the rescue and relief stage right now.”

Lima katao ang nasawi sa Chuzon Supermarket.

“I’m just really very sad about this and I’m grateful that everybody is doing everything to save lives and helping the injured, and as much as possible, to the extent we can, restore normalcy as soon as possible. It’s a very sad situation and I ask for the prayers of the Filipino people.”
