DUMAMI ang mga Filipino nurse na kumuha ng licensure examination sa Estados Unidos para makapagtrabaho roon.
Ayon kay ACTS-OFW Rep. Aniceto Bertiz III umabot sa 2,890 Filipino nurse ang kumuha ng U.S. licensure examination sa unang tatlong buwan ng 2019.
Mas mataas ito ng 46 porsyento kumpara sa 1,988 na kumuha mula Enero hanggang Marso noong 2018.
“It is evident that many Filipino nurses are still raring to move into America’s highly lucrative labor market,” ani Bertiz.
Bukod sa mga Filipino, kumuha rin ng NCLEZ ang Indians (361), Puerto Ricans (310), South Koreans (228) at Nigerians (181).
Isa umano sa dahilan nito ang mataas na sahod ng mga nurse sa Amerika na ang average ay $6,292 o P327,870 kada buwan.
Noong 2018, 10,302 Filipino nurse ang kumuha ng US licensure exam, mas mataas ng 32 porsyento sa 7,791 na kumuha noong 2017.
Mula 1995, 189,993 Filipino nurses na ang kumuha ng US licensure exam.
