DISMAYADO ang Alliance of Concerned Teachers dahil hindi pa sumusuweldo ngayong taon ang 74 guro sa pampublikong paaralan sa Regions VII at XIII.
Ang mga gurong ito ay pumasok umano pagkatapos ng Mayo 31, 2018 at ang dahilan umano na ibinibigay kaya wala pa silang suweldo ay hindi pa pasado ang 2019 budget.
Ayon kay ACT Rep. Antonio Tinio ang mga gurong ito ay regular at permanent teachers na nakadestino sa 32 munisipalidad sa Region VII at tatlong munisipalidad sa CARAGA region.
“Teachers have long been suffering from low salaries. The battle for pork in the national budget has caused not only a delay in the 4th tranche of the Salary Standardization Law but also a delay on the 2 month salaries of teachers hired beyond May 31, 2018 in Region VII and XIII,” ani Tinio.
Sinabi naman ni Rep. France Castro na hindi katanggap-tanggap na hindi sumusuweldo ang mga guro dahil sa ayaw ng mga senador at kongresista.
“Hindi na nga dinidinig ang panawagan nilang dagdag sahod labas sa 4th tranche, hindi pa sila nababayaran ng kanilang sweldo dahil sa mga antala ng pork barrel,” ani Castro.
