Palasyo binawi na sinabak si PCSO GM Balutan; sinabing nagbitiw dahil sa delicadeza
BINAWI ng Palasyo ang naunang pahayag na sinibak si Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager Alexander Balutan, sa pagsasabing kusa itong nagbitiw dahil sa delicadeza sa harap ng seryosong alegasyon ng korupsyon sa PCSO.
“We wish to clarify that former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Alexander Balutan has indeed tendered his resignation through a letter submitted to the Office of the President,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo.
Idinagdag ni Panelo na naisumite lamang ang resignation letter ni Balutan nang maihayag na niya ang pagkakasibak sa dating opisyal.
“The said written communication was, however, formally received by the OP only after the Palace has already announced his cessation from office,” ayon pa kay Panelo.
Sinabi pa ni Panelo na hiniling ni Balutan kay Pangulong Duterte ang patas na imbestigasyon kaugnay ng alegasyon laban sa kanya.
“He has requested the President for a fair and impartial investigation to ferret out the truth on the matter. We hope this sets the record straight on the timeline of what transpired,” sabi pa ni Panelo.
