GAB chairman Mitra ipinatawag ang PBA players na sina Reyes, Pringle at Tautuaa

IPINATAWAG ni Games and Amusements Board (GAB) chairman Abraham Khalil “Baham” Mitra sa kanyang opisina sa Makati City ang mga PBA player na sina JayR Reyes ng Columbian Dyip at sina Stanley Pringle at Moala Tautuaa ng NorthPort Batang Pier.

Itinakda ni Mitra ang naturang pagpupulong para mabigyan ng linaw ang reklamo na inihain ni Reyes laban kina Pringle at Tautuaa.

Ang “complaint letter” ni Reyes ay patungkol sa insidente na nangyari sa isang practice game sa pagitan ng Columbian at NorthPort noong Pebrero 19 kung saan nagtamo ng duguang ilong si Reyes matapos ang kaguluhan.

“As licensed professional basketball players, you are governed by the supervisory powers of GAB under PD 871. Your conduct in relation to the operation of professional games is under the supervision of GAB which may suspend or revoke your license for cause,” saad ni Mitra sa kanyang liham kina Reyes, Pringle at Tautuaa.

Nagsagawa na ng sariling imbestigasyon ang PBA at napatawan ng isang larong suspension si Pringle.

Ngunit minabuti pa rin ni Mitra na ipatawag ang tatlo dahil naghain nga ng reklamo si Reyes sa kanyang opisina.

Unang itinakda ni Mitra ang pagpupulong sa Miyerkules, Marso 6, ngunit hiniling ni Reyes na ito ay iurong dahil may laro ang Columbian laban sa Rain or Shine Elasto Painters sa araw na iyon.

“We will push through with the clarificatory conference as soon as all three players are available,” sabi ni Mitra.
