Jasmin Jao nais sundan ang yapak ng ama na motocross legend

SINAGOT ni motocross rider Jasmin Jao (kaliwa) ang tanong mula sa sports media sa ginanap na “Usapang Sports” forum ng Tabloid Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) Huwebes sa National Press Club sa Intramuros, Maynila.

LIKE father, like daughter.

Ito ang asam na makamit ni Jasmin Jao ng Black Mamba Energy Drinks sa kanyang motocross career na inaasahang lalong papaimbulog sa kickoff leg ng MX Messiah Fairgrounds Supercross Series 2019 sa Taytay, Rizal ngayong weekend.

Ang 20-anyos na anak ni motocross legend Jolet Jao ay isa sa mga pangunahing babaeng kalahok sa seven-part series na itinataguyod ni motocross champion-turned-organizer Sam Tamayo.

“It’s my dream to follow my Dad’s footsteps in motocross. Maging gaya niya na champion,” sabi ni Jao sa kanyang pagdalo sa “Usapang Sports” forum ng Tabloid Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) na ginanap Huwebes sa National Press Club sa Intramuros, Maynila.

“Madami ring mga magagaling na female riders ngayon but I am training very hard to improve my skills and keep pace,” sabi pa ni Jao, na isang Information Technology student sa AMA University.

Sinabi pa niya na malaki ang naitutulong ng kanyang amasa kanyang pag-eensayo at preparasyon bago sumabak sa karera.

Tinukoy din ng batang Jao na sina Pia Gabriel ng Nueva Ecija at Quiana Reyes ang inaasahang makakatunggali niya sa karera.

Kasama ni Jao sa weekly sports forum na sinusuportahan din ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at televised live sa Glitter Livestream sa Facebook sina Tamayo at motocross champion Bornok Mangosong ng Davao.

Si Mangosong ang defending men’s champion sa karera.
