KINASUHAN ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) si dating Custom chief Isidro Lapeña at maraming iba pa kaugnay ng smuggling ng bilyong-bilyong halaga ng shabu gamit ang magnetic lifters.
Nahaharap si Lapeña sa tigda-dalawang counts ng Republic Act 3019 o Anti-Graft Law, Dereliction of Duty at Grave Misconduct.
Bukod kay Lapeña, kinasuhan din sina Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Deputy Director General Ismael Fajardo, Senior Superintendent Eduardo Acierto, dating Intelligence Officer Jimmy Guban.
Sinabi ng NBI na nabigo Lapeña na gampanan ang kanyang tungkulin para mapigil ang smuggling ng bilyong-bilyong halaga ng shabu sa bansa.
