2 konsehal sugatan sa ambush

DALAWANG konsehal ng Subic, Zambales, ang nasugatan nang tambangan ng armadong kalalakihan sa bayan ng San Narciso, Lunes ng gabi, ayon sa pulisya.

Nilulunasan sa ospital sina Councilors Roberto Delgado at Elizalde Rocafor dahil sa tama ng bala sa iba-ibang bahagi ng katawan, sabi ni Chief Supt. Joel Napoleon Coronel, direktor ng Central Luzon regional police.

Naganap ang insidente dakong alas-6, sa bahagi ng National Highway na sakop ng Purok 1, Sitio Samat, Brgy. Siminublan.

Sakay sina Delgado at Rocafor ng isang Toyota Fortuner, nang paputukan ng isang grupo ng mga armadong lulan ng pulang sasakyan, ani Coronel.

Sinabi sa pulisya ng mga saksi na binuntutan muna ng mga armado ang Fortuner, at inunahan ito ilang saglit bago pinaulanan ng bala.

Mabilis tumakas ang mga salarin pa-hilaga, habang dinala ng mga concerned citizen sina Delgado at Rocafor sa pinakamalapit na ospital.

Kapwa “stable” na ang kondisyon ng dalawang konsehal, ani Coronel.

Kinundena ng regional police chief ang insidente, at sinabing may malalim na imbestigasyong isinasagawa para makilala at matunton ang mga salarin.

“We are looking into all angles to establish possible motives, and will leave no stone unturned to get to the bottom of this,” sabi pa ni Coronel.
