Napoles humirit na manatili sa Camp Bagong Diwa

UMAPELA si Janet Lim Napoles sa Sandiganbayan First Division upang manatili siyang nakakulong sa Camp Bagong Diwa sa Taguig City.

Mayroon umanong security threat kay Napoles sa Correctional Institute for Women sa Mandaluyong City kung saan siya dati nakakulong at kung saan siya maaaring ilipat.

“Accused Napoles respectfully begs, for security purposes and humanitarian reasons, that she be allowed to be detained at Camp Bagong Diwa which is a more secured premises pending finality of the decision of this honorable court,” saad ng urgent motion ni Napoles.

Napatunayang guilty si Napoles sa kasong plunder na kinakaharap nito kaugnay ng pork barrel fund scam. Ang kapwa akusado niya na si dating Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., ay napawalang-sala.

“The judgment of conviction against herein accused has not yet attained finality. The judgment may still be modified as there are still remedies which the accused may exhaust and the period to do so has not yet lapsed.”
