Paglipad ng bagong ‘Darna’ ni Liza aabutin ng pitong taon?

TIME was when the so-called pitu-pito movies were in vogue.

Not literally made in seven days, ito ‘yung uri ng mga pelikulang pinauso noon ng Regal Films whose movies were shown week after week.

Sa sobra ngang pagiging mabusisi ni direk who pays attention even to the littlest detail, dumating sa point that his demands (or whims?) could hardly be met by Star Cinema, hence, their creative differences which eventually resulted in his replacement.

But just when the Darna fans thought that the Pinay superhero was all set ay isinantabi muna ang proyektong ito. When filming would resume, hindi pa tiyak as Liza reunites with her screen partner Enrique Gil via another project.

Kung limang taon na ang iginugol sa “Darna” project even before filming could take place ay dalawang taon pa ba ang aabutin before Liza as Narda/Darna comes to life on the big screen?

So, “pito” movie ito? One thing’s for sure, kahit pa bumilang ito nang higit nang lampas sa pitong taon, it would be worth the wait.

We all grew up with sheer fascination kay Darna regardless kung sinuman ang gumanap, mapa-pelikula man o TV. Sana lang, tumbasan ng Star Cinema ang pagkainip ng mga manonood via the millennial starrer in terms of visuals.
