BALIK Eastern Visayas ang kontrobersiyal na si police officer Chief Insp. Jovie Espenido, dalawang taon matapos siyang madestino sa labas ng rehiyon.
Sinabi ni Chief Supt. Dionardo Carlos, police director for Eastern Visayas, na tinanggap niya ang direktiba mula sa national headquarters kung saan ipinaalam sa kanya ang paglipat ni Espenido sa Region 8.
Idinagdag ni Carlos na hindi niya alam ang partikular na bagong posisyon ni Espenido.
“We will wait for the directive. If it’s at my level, then I will make a decision where I can place him where he can best serve the region. I will see where he will best fit, looking at his background,” sabi ni Carlos.
Sinabi ni Carlos na lahat naman ng mga pulis ay maaaring malipat anumang oras nang tanungin kung ano ang posibleng rason ng pagkakatalaga ni Espenido sa Eastern Visayas.
Matatandaang si Espenido ang nasa likod ng operasyon laban sa mga big time drug lord sa rehiyon.
Si Espenido ang chief of police ng Virac, Catanduanes.
