Duterte humirit ng pondo para pabahay ng sundalo

UMAASA si Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas na makakahanap ng dagdag na pondo ang Kongreso para sa mga housing project sa 2019.

Ayon kay Vargas, sponsor ng budget ng National Housing Authority sa plenaryo ng Kamara de Representantes, suportado niya ang panawagan ni Pangulong Duterte na bigyan ng disenteng bahay ang mga sundalo.

“The government should also prioritize housing projects for different sectors, especially for the members of our military and police forces as a way of showing gratitude for the services they are giving to the Filipino people.”

Nakipagpulong si Duterte kay House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo kaugnay sa mga pagbabago sa 2019 national budget at hiniling na pondohan ang pabahay para sa mga miyembro ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police.

“At this point, it is the President who is requesting budget for housing, and I am confident that with the leadership of Speaker Arroyo this can be granted,” ani Vargas.

Para sa 2019, ang NHA ay binigyan lamang ng P360 milyong pondo malayo sa hinihingi nitong P36 bilyon sa Department of Budget and Management.

Ang bansa ay mayroong 6.5 milyong housing backlog.
