DFA nanawagan sa mga Pinoy sa Hawaii na maghanda ‘Hurricane Lane’
NANAWAGAN ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa mga Pinoy sa Hawaii na gawin ang kaukulang paghahanda sa harap ng banta ng malakas na hurricane simula Huwebes ng gabi.
Sa isang pahayag, tiniyak ng DFA na patuloy ang pagmomonitor nito sa “Hurricane Lane,” na nasa Category 4 storm.
Batay sa ulat mula kay Consul General Joselito Jimeno, naglabas na ang DFA ng hurricane warning sa Big Island (Hawaii Island) at Maui, samantalang nakataas ang hurricane watch sa Oahu, kung saan matatagpuan ang Honolulu at Kauai Island.
“We have advised the members of the Filipino Community to prepare emergency kits good for 14 days, as well as heed all the warnings and advise of Hawaii State and Federal government authorities and the specific warnings for their areas,” sabi ni Jimeno.
“Filipino nationals in the affected areas are advised to inform the Consulate General so it could update their relatives in the Philippines of their conditions. It also stands ready to provide assistance to anyone who will be affected by the hurricane,”dagdag ni Jimeno.
