MARIAN, RICHARD grabe ang halikan, may hubaran pa

RICHARD Gutierrez and Marian Rivera show strong magic once again sa “My Lady Boss”. GMA Films and Regal Films gave a premiere of its new movie from director Jade Castro opening nationwide today with a B grade from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

The premiere happened last Sunday sa SM Megamall cinema 10 with a lot of surprise attendance and surprise non-appearance.
Like all Richard movie, complete halos ang kapatid niya, magulang niya at kasamahan niyang talent sa management team ni tita Annabelle Rama. Eddie Gutierrez and wife Annabelle were there and so were Raymond, Ruffa and Elvis Gutierrez pati na rin ang dalawang anak ni Ruffa na sina Venice and Lorin.

Joining them are Paulo Paraiso, Assunta de Rossi na mga talents din ni tita Annabelle. Representing GMA, GMA Films and GMA Artist Center naman are Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio and Joyce Ching and Kristoffer Martin na wala sa movie but in support lang, Rocco Nacino, Ruru Madrid, Jace Flores that Starstruck male avenger na pare-pareho namang part of the movie.

As for the rest of the stars, nandito sina Benjie Paras and his two teenage sons Andrei and Kobe na pinagkaguluhan din ng mga fans just like the other matinee idols and Jan Marini representing her husband Gerard Pizzaras na part of the movie.

Absent si Dingdong Dantes, Marian’s boyfriend, para hindi makanakaw eksena sa tambalan nina Richard and Marian. In her seat waiting naman is a big and beautiful bouquet of flowers na pinadala ni Dingdong for his girlfriend and much tweeted ito and much instagram-ed so para ring hindi na-miss si Dingdong.

The second absentee is Mother Lily Monteverde, the main producer of the movie. We will leave at that. Back to the movie, sole breadwinner si Evelyn (Marian) who is one of the brand managers of the company being run by Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, the other brand manager being Henry (Rocco).

Nag-resign ang assistant manager ni Evelyn so she opened the hiring – enter Zach (Richard) na prior to his interview ay nagkaroon na ng hindi magandang experience with Evelyn. Both have a lot to prove.

Evelyn has to support her whole family headed by mother Sandy Andolong, brothers that Starstruck male avenger and Ruru and sister in law Kathleen Hermosa plus her on the rocks relationship with boyfriend of five and a half years na si Timothy (Tom Rodriguez).

Zach has to prove his worth naman to his family specially to his lolo Ronaldo Valdez and mother Jackilou Blanco and tita Zenaida Amador dahil sunod-sunod ang business niyang bumagsak and had to be bailed out by his lolo who is so disappointed in him.

Together with their rag-tag team composed of Sef Cadayona, Matet de Leon, Petra Halimuyak and Jayce, they have to prove to Maricel that their team is the better group than that of Henry. The movie is light and that is how we want it to be.

Even its dramatic moments, may kabig na comedy and this can help the movie a lot. We were kind of afraid kasi na sa trailer ng movie na supposed to be rom-com ay nagpakita ng heavy drama scenes. Watchable din naman pala ang mga drama moments, thanks to its light approach by the director.
