RHIAN Ramos asked her followers on Instagram kung unlawful ang murahin ang isang senador.
“Is it against the law to cuss at a senator? I don’t plan to…I’m legit just wondering.”

Although she did not name the senator who caught her ire, obvious sa fans niyang ang kanyang pinatutungkulan ay si Senate President Tito Sotto whose statement recently caught the collective ire of netizens.

Senator Sotto’s “For example, yung sinabi ko na binibiro lang, hinipuan na ganu’n, will they be liable? You said yes, the answer I think is no” statement drew nothing but ballistic comment on social media.

“When I said that our Senate President is sh***t…I meant it. Tito Sotto, you are a shame to mankind. I’ve personally experienced that ‘nahipuan lang’ and I tell you this is just a frustrating excuse to harass and violate women’s rights. You are a said excuse for a human being,” said Kisha Beringuela.

“Tito Sotto, what if Ms. Helen Gamboa and Ciara Sotto gets groped in public, will you just brush it off, laugh and say, ‘Okay lang nahipuan lang naman kayo, move on’? I bet not. I don’t normally get mean on socmed, but I have to say this, ang bobo mo na ang sexist mo pa,” @preciselyjames said.

“I wonder what Tito Sotto’s female relatives feel whenever he invalidates women’s struggles on sexual harassment and rape culture. He even called a single mom ‘naano lang’ where in fact his daughter is also a single parent. His insensitivity disgusts me,” say ni @erandioken.

For us, we believe that panghihipo is usually and always done sa konteksto ng kamanyakan. Maniac ang nanghihipo at hindi siya pinalaki nang tama ng kanyang ina.

Sabihin mo ‘yang statement mo, Sen. Tito, kapag nahipuan ang apo mong babae at ang claim ng nanghipo ay biro lang.
