Palasyo iginiit na hindi harassment ang pangunguha ng Chinese coast guard ng huling isda ng mga Pinoy

IGINIIT ng Palasyo na hindi matatawag na harassment ang insidente kung saan kinukuha ng Chinese Coast Guard ang mga huling isda ng mga Pinoy na mangingisda sa Panatag Shoal sa Zambales.

“I would not say its harassment because—you know what harassment is, during the time of President Aquino. Water cannons were used against them. They were rammed; they were the subject of being targeted by live guns. Wala na po iyan,” sabi ng Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Iprinisinta pa ni Roque ang tatlong mangingisda na kabilang sa mga dokumentaryo ng GMA-7 kung saan ipinapakita rito ang sapilitang pagkuha ng mga Tsinoy sa huli ng mga mangingisda.

Kabilang sa mga iprinisinta ay ang mga mangingisdang sina Rommel Sihuela, Jurie B. Drio at Delfin M. Igana.

Iginiit ni Roque na malayang nakakapangisda ang mga Pinoy matapos naman ang kasunduan ng Pilipina at China.

“They are allowed. They are able to fish. No one is preventing them from fishing. They have said so and let’s not put words in their mouths. In fact, gusto ko ngang masabi: Sino ba ang naggamit noong word na ‘harassment?’ Ginamit ninyo ba ever iyong word na harassment? Kasi doon sa video ginamit iyong word na harassment. Sino bang nagsasabi sa inyo na harassment iyon kung mayroon?” dagdag ni Roque.

Napikon naman si Roque sa sunod-sunod na tanong sa kanya ng isang reporter.

“I’m sorry but you can’t do a documentary on my press briefing,” sabi ni Roque.

Nauna nang nabatikos ang administrasyon dahil sa malambot nitong posisyon sa China.

“I’ve already answered the policy is we will—specifically we have brought this up to the Chinese Ambassador. We’ve said this is unacceptable. We want the fishermen to fish freely. We don’t want even a single kilo to be exacted from the fishermen,” giit ni Roque.
