Vice tinawag na ‘monster’ si Dessa, hindi nagpalamon sa 4th Impact
LAST Sunday, hinalimaw ni Dessa ang kanyang “Narito Ako” piece sa “Versus” segment ng ASAP where she was pitted against 4th Impact.
Kahit na apat ang kanyang katunggali, parang minani lang ni Dessa ang kanilang vocal bout. Unang stanza pa lang ng kanta ay ibinirit na agad niya, showing to all and sundry that she’s really a diva.
Even the duet part where they sang Dulce’s “Ako Ang Nagwagi” ay wagi pa rin si Dessa. Her vocals were just perfect at mukhang pinaghandaan niya talaga ang production number niya.
Hindi naman nagpadehado ang 4th Impact. Lumaban din naman sila kaya lang ay talagang hindi nila naitaob ang tunay na diva. Say nga ni Vice Ganda sa comment nito, “Dessa is a monster!”

Watched Mike de Leon’s “Citizen Jake.”
It was obvious that Mike is very angry. He was so angry that he minced no words in his latest opus. Talagang binira niya nang harap-harapan ang mga corrupt public officials.
Atom Araullo is a teacher-turned blogger na ang father ay isang crony and a very corrupt senator. He has a brother na mahilig sa “The Godfather” movies and an equally corrupt politician.
When we watched it sa Robinsons Place Manila, we were just around 50. It was something we already expected. Since Pinoys love rom-coms, horror flicks and action movies, “Citizen Jake” is not for them.
The movie is very cerebral. It’s not for the hoi polloi. It’s very brave and its audacity reverberates around the central character of Jake (Atom). It takes a genius like Mike to come up with a film that’s bereft of caution. Talagang pinagmukha niyang mga magnanakaw ang ilang kilalang politicians.
We think it is the best movie this year. Not only did it restore the sanity of filmmaking, it also bring to life the inconvenient truth that most politicians are corrupt.
It is a reminder that by this time, we should take a bigger and bolder stand against corruption which has become the lifestyle of people in government. If you abhor holdupers, snatchers and thieves, mas dapat ninyong kamuhian ang mga politikong binibigyan ninyo ng lisensyang magnakaw sa pamamagitan ng inyong boto!
Go watch the movie at nang magkaroon naman ng kahit kaunting sense ang pagka-Filipino ninyo.
