Kaso vs Peter Lim ibinasura ng DOJ

IBINASURA ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang kasong droga laban sa mayamang negosyanteng kumpadre ni Pangulong Duterte na taga Cebu na si Peter Lim.
Bukod kay Lim, ibinasura rin ang kaso laban sa mga pinaghihinalaang high-profile drug personalities na inihain ng Philippine National Police (PNP) noong isang taon, ayon sa impormasyong nakuha ng Inquirer.net

Inaprubahan ang resolusyon ni Prosecutor General Jorge Catalan, at inilabas ng isang panel ng DOJ prosecutor noong Disyembre 20, 2017, bagamat itinago sa media.

Matatandaang pinangalanan ni Duterte si Lim bilang isa sa mga malalaking drug lord sa bansa, kung saan nagbanta pa ang presidente na papatayin niya ito.

Nakipagpulong pa kasi Duterte kay Lim sa pinaghihinalaang boss ng Triad sa kanyang satellite office sa Davao City.

Sa 41-pahinang resolusyon, sinabi ng DOJ na mahina ang ebidensiyang inihain ng PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group laban kay Lim at mga kapwa akusado.

“We are mindful of the zealous intention of the complainant to eliminate the illegal drug menace prevalent in our country today, and it is public knowledge that this fight has taken numerous lives,” sabi ni DOJ.
Bukod kay Lima, inabswelto rin ang pinaghihinalaang drug lord Kerwin Espinosa, ang convicted drug lord na sina Peter Co, Lovely Impal, Marcelo Adorco, Max Miro, Ruel Malindangan, Jun Pepito at iba pang drug lord na kilala lamang sa kanilang alyas.
